CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

We take our calling to nurture children in faith seriously:

Sunday School

We have two Sunday School classes divided by age. The younger class is roughly ages 4-8 and the older class is roughly ages 9-12. The younger class uses Young Children in Worship and Godly Play curriculum, which are Montessori-style curricula designed to help children engage the biblical stories with wonder and curiosity. The older class uses Shine: Living in God’s Light curriculum, which aims to help students connect their faith with their daily lives.

Confirmation

We offer confirmation class any time there is a cohort of youth (typically grades 7-10.)

Safety

All our Sunday School teachers have PA clearances for working with children. We staff the nursery with two background-checked adult caregivers. Our Sunday School classes meet across the hall from one another so a second adult is nearby. Teachers are not alone 1-on-1 with children or youth.
